Textile Exchange releases latest Responsible Mohair Standard

The Textile Exchange has announced the release of a fresh Responsible Mohair Regular (RMS), which is based on and carefully aligned with the Responsible Wool Regular (RWS), announced in 2016 and recently underwent its first revision. Both benchmarks are organized around the Textile Exchange Animal Welfare Framework, which models out the rules and expectations that lead and hook up the Textile Exchange’s pet welfare standards.

The new Responsible Mohair Typical verifies and identifies mohair that is stated in farming systems that respect animal welfare and the surroundings. “The RMS applies a solid assurance system to execute standard audits of the farms and track the materials to the final merchandise.
