Thailand to help ease COVID-19 lockdown measures nationwide from May 3
Thailand is getting ready to relax a few of its COVID-19 control measures nationwide from Can 3, including reopening restaurants, cafes and markets with guidelines to avoid another wave of infections.

Dr Thaweesilp Wisanuyothin, spokesperson for Thailand’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), said in a good press conference on Thursday (Apr 30) that six types of activities and businesses will benefit from the partial relaxation.

While guidelines will be standardised by the CCSA for all areas nationwide, the regulations could be adjusted by provincial governors because they see fit as long as they are made stricter rather than less stringent, he added.

The six types of activities and businesses include markets, eateries outside shops, retailers, sports and outdoor recreation, wild hair salons and barbershops, and also pet grooming and boarding businesses.

“Today, the CCSA director said (the reopening) can begin on, may 3 if business operators will be ready to perform so by then. We’ll then spend 14 days to observe and determine the situation.

"If the numbers of new infections remain stable, it’ll show you cooperate well and learn how to manage yourselves, your businesses as well as your activities. We’ll then have the ability to involve more businesses and activities in the relaxation,” Dr Thaweesilp said.

However, he explained the government should reverse the relaxation if the amount of new conditions increase through the 14-day observation period.

On Thursday, Thailand reported seven new instances of COVID-19 infections, bringing the full total cases in the united states to 2,954.
Up to now, 2,687 people have already been discharged from hospitals and 54 have died.

Predicated on the daily tally, the problem of the COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand proceeds to improve.

On Wednesday, Bangkok released detailed guidelines for operators who'll soon have the ability to resume their businesses and activities.

However, the nationwide curfew between 10pm and 4am will stay before state of emergency ends on, may 31.

"The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration wish to emphasise that the problem is not yet normal. The united states continues to survey new cases each day, which means COVID-19 continues to be spreading in places close to us and a second wave of infections can be done. It could be more serious than the earliest,” said Bangkok governor Aswin Kwanmuang on Wednesday.

"If the next wave of infections turns into likely, we may have to temporarily ban activities and close different venues again so that you can control the problem.”
