Thousands rally in Australia's parliament to demand justice for sexual assault victims
A large number of women gathered found in major places across Australia on Mon to be a part of rallies calling for gender equality and justice for victims of sexual assault.

The March 4 Justice rallies have already been spurred by a recently available wave of allegations of sexual assault, discrimination and misconduct in a few of Australia's highest political offices.

Organizers expect around 85,000 girls to become listed on the marches, including 1 in the capital of Canberra where two petitions demanding actions will be sent to parliament.

A good delegation of organizers rejected an invitation to meet up with Prime Minister Scott Morrison in exclusive.

"We've arrive to his front side garden," Janine Hendry, one of the organizers, advised Reuters outside Parliament House. "We will be 200 meters from his business office and it's not befitting us to meet behind closed doors specially when we are discussing sexual assault which does happen behind closed doors."

A good spokesman for Morrison said there is a standing give for a private meeting and declined to comment further more.

Just lately reported scandals include rape allegations against Attorney-General Christian Porter, who has highly denied the alleged 1988 assault, saying it basically did not happen.

The public anger over the government's handling of alleged incidents of sexual assault mirrors the sentiment on screen in London over the weekend, where protests were held following a eliminating of 33-year-old Sarah Everard, who disappeared while walking home at night-time.

Among protesters collected in Canberra, one held a sign reading: "Shatter the silence. Stop the violence."

The allegations involving persons in Morrison's government are anticipated to dominate parliamentary proceedings over the next two weeks.

Both Porter and Security Minister Linda Reynolds - who has been criticized for failing to report an alleged rape of one of her former workers by another - are both on sick leave.
