30 January, 2018
Thousands of customers braved subzero temperatures on Saturday as the first Apple Store in Korea opened in Seoul's Gangnam.
Over 300 ardent Apple fans formed a queue from early morning to be the first ones to get in, and over 10,000 people visited on the first and second day.
So far there had only been authorized resellers in Korea.
Visitors pack the Apple Store at the grand opening in Seoul on Saturday.
The Apple Store has two stories above ground and two below with surface area of 1,297 sq.m. It opens seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Visitors can test Apple products, make purchases, and get their devices repaired. However, iPhones cannot be activated in-store yet, and those who buy them need to get a SIM card from a telecom outlet.
