Top Chinese diplomat demands China, US to fix relations
China's top diplomat known as on Tuesday (Feb 1) for Beijing and Washington to place relations back on a good predictable and constructive path, saying america should stop meddling found in China's internal affairs, like Hong Kong and Tibet.

Yang Jiechi, director of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission of the Chinese Communist Party, may be the highest ranking Chinese innovator to speak on China-US relations since President Joe Biden took office.

Beneath the Trump administration, US relations with China plunged with their lowest point because the establishment of diplomatic fits in 1979, as equally sides clashed over issues which range from trade and technology to Hong Kong, Taiwan and Xinjiang, and the South China Sea.

While reassuring america that China does not have any intention to challenge or replace the US position on earth, Yang stressed that no force can take back China's development.

"AMERICA should stop interfering in Hong Kong, Tibet, Xinjiang and other problems with respect to China's territorial integrity and sovereignty," Yang said, defining these as issues concerning China's core interests and national dignity.

Speaking at an online forum organised by the National Committee in US-China Relations upon Tuesday in Beijing, Yang said China never meddles with US internal affairs, incorporating its elections.

Yang, whose position in the ruling Communist Party presents him more influence than even the foreign minister, as well urged the Biden administration never to abuse the idea of national security found in trade.

"We on China hope that the United States will rise above the outdated mentality of zero-sum, major-power rivalry and use China to keep carefully the relationship on the right course," he said.

Yang reasserted that China is ready to work with america to move the relationship forward along a an eye on "no conflict, no confrontation, mutual respect and win-win cooperation."

The term "cooperation" appeared 24 times in his speech. He suggested that US organizations could gain from around 22 trillion dollars worth of exports to China in the approaching decade.
