Trump threatens to trim federal money to 'lawless' cities

President Donald Trump signed a good memo on Wednesday that threatens to slash federal financing to “lawless” cities, including Seattle, Portland, NY and Washington.
“My Administration won't allow Federal tax us dollars to fund places that allow themselves to deteriorate into lawless zones,” said the memo, that was released by the Light House.
The memo instructs Attorney Standard William Barr to build up a set of “anarchist jurisdictions” that “permitted violence and the destruction of property to persist and also have refused to undertake reasonable measures” to revive order.
The memo also instructs White House budget director Russell Vought to issue guidance in thirty days “to the heads of agencies on restricting eligibility of or elsewhere disfavoring, to the utmost extent permitted by law, anarchist jurisdictions in the receipt of Federal grants.”
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said on Twitter that Trump was trying to take off funding that claims and cities need to receive to recover from the coronavirus pandemic.
“He is not really a king. He cannot ‘defund’ NYC,” Cuomo stated. “It’s an against the law stunt.”
