President-elect Joe Biden should hold pressing China to adhere to the "Phase 1" trade package, which Beijing did a "reasonably good work" implementing elements of, using tariffs seeing as leverage, US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer told Reuters.

Speaking late in Tuesday in a rare interview, Lighthizer defended the Trump administration's record in shredding the status quo on trade and imposing unilateral tariffs about US$370 billion well worth of Chinese goods.
