23 June, 2020
America’s President Donald Trump on Sunday said India and China had "come to blows" and that the united states would "help them out" in this "tough condition". He was discussing the bloodstream clash between troops of the two Asian giants at the Galwan Valley in Ladakh the other day.
"It’s a very tough situation. We’re speaking with India. We’re talking to China. They’ve received a big trouble there. They’ve arrive to blows, and we’ll see what goes on. We’ll try and support them out," President Trump explained.
It can be recalled President Trump had discussed the tense scenario on the Sino-Indian border with Prime Minister Narendra Modi a few weeks ago, but that was long before the deadly clash in Galwan last Monday.
Dismissing Chinese claims above the Galwan Valley yet again Saturday, the MEA stated: "The position (upon) the Galwan Valley region provides been historically clear. Tries by the Chinese area to advance exaggerated and untenable statements in regards to to the Line of Genuine Control there are not acceptable. They are not relative to China’s own position during the past."
