Victoria Beckham releases spoof teaser for her YouTube channel
03 March, 2019
Spice Girl, designer and soon-to-be beauty mogul Victoria Beckham announced she would be starting her own YouTube channel back in November, and she has now finally given her fans a taste of what’s to come.
In a 90-second teaser posted on her channel, Beckham tells fans she plans to do her own annual version of the Queen’s speech.
With her hair wrapped in a towel and her tongue firmly in her cheek, VB says she came up with the idea as the Queen’s speech is “very popular”.
“I’ve been spending a lot of time trying to figure out and conjure up what the public really want from me,” says Beckham, after taking a sip of water fed to her by an assistant, concluding: “The Queen’s speech, only much, much, much longer and with me, instead of you know the ‘actual Queen’.”
The video shows Beckham’s playful side, with many fans already dubbing her the queen of YouTube.
“Well done Victoria and they said you don't have a sense of humour, well they had better brace themselves for when you unleash it,?” wrote one commenter.
Of course, Beckham’s YouTube channel won’t actually be full of hour-long monologues, but it will feature more of the same humour, alongside beauty dos and don'ts, and general life updates.
And it seems VB’s teaser – and playful call to subscribe – has worked, with 70,000 people already signed up to the channel. It’s expected the designer will start releasing regular videos in the coming weeks.
