Vietnamese airlines to resume domestic flights from Thursday
Vietnam's Bamboo Airways and VietJet Air will resume household flights from Thursday following the expiry of a good government order for 15 days of public distancing norms to be viewed, the companies said.

From past due March, Vietnam ordered curbs on domestic flights and adopted public distancing nationwide to curb the spread of the coronavirus, which has infected 257 people, although none have died.

"The Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City way will be resumed from April 16, while various other routes will be back again to procedure from April 20," Bamboo Airways said in a declaration.

Budget carrier VietJet Oxygen also announced it had been resuming flying on domestic routes from Thursday but advised clients it had only an expected schedule which may be subject to change.

On Monday, deputy well being minister Nguyen Thanh Long suggested Vietnam should extend public distancing to curb network transmission of the virus, a suggestion that the federal government is considering.
