29 May, 2019
A 360-degree, infinity pool 210 metres above ground is coming to Dubai, and it's almost ready to open.
Palm Tower in Dubai is set to have one of the highest infinity pools in the world. Located on the 50th floor of the 52-floor building, the pool goes 360 degrees around the Palm Jumeirah building, boasting incredible views in every direction – out to Dubai Marina, Bluewaters Island, Ain Dubai, Atlantis The Palm, the Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa. The pool spans 775 square metres and is set to hold 930,000 litres of water.
Construction is almost complete, with just the 51st and 52nd podium-level floors still to be constructed. The infinity pool will be one of three swimming pools in the building.
As it stands, the highest infinity pool on Earth is 340 metres high at Singapore's Marina Bay Sands. However, it's thought that the Palm Tower's infinity pool will be the highest of its kind in the world, thanks to its 360-degree element.
Luxury in the sky
Above the pool will be a two-storey podium that includes a 300-seat rooftop restaurant on the 51st floor and a viewing deck at 240 metres above sea level on the 52nd floor.
The tower, which is half way up the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, will include private apartments as well as a new five-star hotel, The St Regis Dubai – The Palm.
ower residents and guests will also have direct access to Nakheel Mall, which can be seen from above from the swimming pool.
Like the island it is built on, the architecture of Palm Tower is inspired by a palm tree.
