Liverpool dropped points in Anfield for the very first time found in the Premier Little league this year after playing to a good 1-1 draw with struggling West Bromwich Albion.

Sadio Mane gave Liverpool the business lead in the 12th minute when the Senegal forward chested down Joel Matip's ball forward and slotted it again first-time past Johnstone.

Ten minutes after, Trent Alexander-Arnold drilled in a low cross from the proper. Georginio Wijnaldum skipped over it and it rolled close to Sadio Mane but Darnell Furlong did just enough to block and prevent Mane from grabbing his second aim of the game with the shot heading wide.

Liverpool continued to pepper West Brom's aim. Mohammed Salah had taken down the ball in the box and laid off to Firmino however the Brazilian's shot from beyond your box was blocked.

West Brom had the next big opportunity. Salah's cross was cleared by Sawyers who delivered Grant through on aim and he burst in to the package and shot but Alisson rushed out and produced the block along with his legs.

The Baggies were playing in typical Sam Allardyce fashion, committing niggly fouls and successful to slow down the tempo of Liverpool's game.

Alexander-Arnold wasn't too much from locating the top left part in the 78th minute. It had been a much better effort than his first half free-kick since it curled only over Sam Johnstone's goal.

West Brom got the equaliser that they had been seeking for. Matheus Pereira took the corner brief and received it again, whipping in an excellent inswinging cross and Ajayi rode high to power it in off the right-hand post to say a share of the spoils.
