Where to see Diwali fireworks in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

Thousands across the UAE will be taking part in Diwali celebrations this weekend. And to mark the Festival of Lights, locations across the Emirates will be holding firework displays over the coming days.
Dubai Festival City
Dubai Festival City Mall is known for its extravagant firework displays, and its Diwali offering will be no different. On Thursday, October 24, it will light up the sky with a choreographed firework display, set to a specially curated music score. The display will be part of its wider Diwali celebrations, which will kick off at 4pm, with a DJ playing Bollywood hits and Indian classics. The evening will also see the launch of Dubai Festival City’s fourth edition of its Imagine light show, ‘Hathi’s Garden’.
Al Seef, Dubai
Al Seef will be holding a celebration on Sunday, October 27 – Diwali Day. As part of the celebrations, there will be a large-scale firework display, taking place at 8.30pm. Visitors to Dubai Creek can also enjoy the newly opened Al Seef Artisans’ World Market, which features pop-up bazaars selling everything from souvenirs, antiques and ceramics.
The Pointe, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai
The Pointe at Palm Jumeirah will be marking the Indian Festival of Lights with a firework display on Saturday, October 26. Taking place at 9pm, the display will light up the sky above the Palm, marking the end of its Diwali celebrations. Visitors can also enjoy up to 25 per cent off at a number of The Pointe’s restaurants, as well as 20 per cent off Careem rides to and from the venue.
Yas Island, Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island will be hosting the Yas Mega Mela Festival between Thursday, October 31 and Saturday, November 2. The festival will pay homage to Indian art, food, music and theatre. Over the course of the weekend, there will be performances by Bollywood artists Kanika Kapoor and Ankit Tiwari, as well as a firework display every day at 9pm.
