Who Has The Best Value-For-Money 4G Internet Data Plan? Jio vs Airtel vs Vodafone

As telcos fight it out to sign up the most subscribers, it’s all of us that benefit in the process. Now, it’s possible to get a decent plan for Rs 500, even if you’re watching YouTube videos on your smartphone all day. But who has the best value for money?

Reliance Jio for one has revamped its data plans for the new year, available starting January 9. Now, under the Rs 498 prepaid plan, you get a massive Rs 136GB of free data, valid for up to 91 days. If that’s too much for you, there’s also a Rs 448 plan with 126GB for 84 days. And all of this with unlimited free text messaging, and calling.

Apart from launching a cheap 4G handset, Airtel has upped the ante as well, revising its Rs 448 plan to give 82 days of validity instead of 70, to give a total of 82GB internet data. Meanwhile, its Rs 509 plan 91GB of data over 91 days, with unlimited calling, roaming, and 100 SMS per day.

Vodafone's Rs 458 plan now has a 70 day validity period, offering 1GB of free data every day. In total, the plan is offering 70GB of data. There’s also a Rs 509 plan to give 84GB of data across 84 days.

The clear winner here is Reliance Jio of course. Not only can you get the most data for your buck this way, but there’s also a variety of options for users. Even it’s lowest prepaid plan is handy for light Internet users, offering 1GB of data every day for 28 days, all for Rs 149.
