Woodforest Plans 1st Annual Tree Lighting Nov. 29
14 November, 2021
A traditional tree lighting will be the star attraction of the Light Up the Pines first annual commercial tree lighting ceremony hosted by Woodforest from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29.
The holiday kickoff event takes place at Pine Market, 2295 Woodforest Parkway North in Woodforest. Visitors will enjoy free hot cocoa while supplies last, music and fire-juggling elves before the lighting of a 30-foot tree topped with a 4-foot star.
“We’re starting this new tradition in Woodforest with a fiery performance by some talented ‘elves,’” said Woodforest Marketing Director Faith Pitman. “It will be a tree lighting for the memory books.”
There will also be commemorative ornaments to take home while supplies last. The event is free and open to the public.
Pine Market is part of Woodforest’s commercial district. Anchored by Harvest Market, the 40-acre space offers a mix of retail, restaurants and services. A planned park will host art festivals, farmers markets, and other planned activities.
Already opened in Pine Market are Luv Coffee, Anytime Fitness, Bonjour Belle Salon & Suites, Premier Martial Arts, The Y Factor, Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming, DIVA Boutique and Simply Creative Aesthetics. More information is available here: www.woodforesttx.com/commercial.
“Several more restaurants and conveniences have leased space in Pine Market and should be opening within the next few months,” Pitman said.
A dozen builders offer single-family homes, custom homes, and homes for those ages 55 and up in Woodforest. Pricing ranges from the $260,000s to more than $1 million. In addition to a growing commercial corridor, Woodforest residents enjoy numerous parks, miles of trails, two pools, tennis, basketball, a sports park, community center and other amenities.
