Xi says China prepared to boost global COVID-19 vaccine cooperation

President Xi Jinping said about Saturday (Nov 21) that China is preparing to intensify global COVID-19 vaccine cooperation, and needed better international coordination in policies to facilitate activity of people.
Pharmaceutical companies and research centres all over the world are working on potential COVID-19 vaccines, with large global trials of many of the candidates involving thousands of participants underway. China offers five home-grown prospects undergoing Phase III trials.
"China is ready to strengthen cooperation with additional countries in the study and development, production, and distribution of vaccines," Xi told the G20 Riyadh Summit via training video link.
"We will fulfill our commitments, offer support and help to other growing countries, and job hard to create vaccines a public very good that citizens of most countries can work with and may afford," he said.
He also known as for stronger international insurance policy coordination to establish travelling "fast tracks" that could facilitate orderly global movement.
Knowing that, Xi said China would propose the creation of a system where travellers' coronavirus test outcomes were recognised internationally through digital health and wellbeing codes.
