ADGM Academy, ADDA and ADSG spouse to drive Abu Dhabi's digital transformation
Abu Dhabi Global Industry Academy, the training arm of the UAE capital's financial free area, joined forces with the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (Adda) and Abu Dhabi Institution of Federal government (ADSG) to help expand develop the emirate’s digital functions through various initiatives.

The three government entities will “curate and execute some certified digital skills programmes”, relative to Abu Dhabi’s digital literacy strategy, they said in a statement on Sunday.

“Outcomes of the partnership will assist in shaping an extremely digitally savvy and technologically privy era of professionals … finally enabling Abu Dhabi to realise an agile and resilient digital potential,” Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, ADGM’s chief operating officer and managing director of the academy, said.

The new agreement will dsicover the authorities define skill set requirements within Abu Dhabi’s digital literacy strategy. They'll also execute a skill gap research to create individual development ideas and digital skills training programmes for UAE nationals.

"We are very happy to participate this agreement that aims to empower Abu Dhabi federal government entities’ personnel and develop their digital skill pieces,” Mohamed Abdel Hameed Al-Askar, director standard of the Adda, said.

“Our participation on this initiative was motivated not merely because of its immediate benefits for the federal government entities’ employees, but also because of its confident implications that foster a captivating digital society in Abu Dhabi,” he added.

In June, Adda signed an agreement with America's biggest chip maker, Intel, to increase digital transformation in the emirate.

In October last year, it also signed an agreement with US company Hewlett Packard Enterprise to accelerate the execution of data management programmes. It in the future unveiled a fresh data management program, which falls within an open data initiative launched under Ghadan 21.

“This partnership is a path to attaining the vision of our wise leadership,” Nama Salmeen Alameri, dean of ADSG, said.

“Making certain all public sector staff include the necessary understanding of the most recent digital concepts is vital to realising our perspective, together with supporting Abu Dhabi’s changeover to knowledge-based economy and culture,” she added.
