Amazon grows storage capability in the UAE to meet up demand
Amazon has increased it has the storage capacity by more than 45 per cent across it is fulfilment network and opened a fresh delivery station in the UAE, creating more than 2,000 new everlasting and seasonal careers, the business said in a affirmation on Tuesday.

The e-commerce giant now has more than 2.4 million cubic feet of storage capacity when counting its own network and space occupied through third companions as it looks to meet growing demand, it explained.

“Amazon’s investment on strengthening operations reflects our long-term commitment to delivering a world-class consumer experience for our customers and partners on the UAE,” Prashant Saran, director of functions for Amazon Middle East and North Africa, said.

“We feel a deep responsibility to the communities where we operate … and the creation of a large number of new jobs will benefit the entire country,” he added.

Amazon commenced its seven-day White Fri sale in your community on Tuesday, offering clients up to 70 per cent in special discounts when shopping online.

“Our target is to make certain that customers in the united states are able to get what they need from the comfort of their house while prioritising medical and safety of our associates, partners and customers,” Mr Saran said.

The business said it has implemented more than 150 safety precautions for employees, associates and motorists to avoid the spread of Covid-19. To meet developing demand, Amazon has been in a hiring spree in lots of countries across the world.

In September, the business said it is adding 10,000 new everlasting jobs and 20,000 seasonal positions in the UK, and 100,000 innovative permanent and part-time employees in the US and Canada since it expands operations.
