Apple creating a free fitness software for guided yoga, workout plus much more
16 March, 2020
It’s like having an individual trainer of your, and free of charge. Apple is reported to be working on an exercise application for the Apple Watch that enables you to download videos of varied activities and guidance on how to complete them.
You won’t have to purchase the app, which doesn’t appear to have any in-app purchases or costs for content, except of course that you'd be paying the data cost of downloading videos.
Apple will most likely release the app in iOS 14, watchOS 7, and tvOS 14 as a standalone iphone app available alongside the prevailing Activity app, according to the MacRumours site, which gives out near accurate predictions of Apple releases.
Fitness videos provided could be downloaded to you iPhone, iPad or Apple TV and synced to your Apple Watch, which in turn tracks your progress through your chosen activity as you watch the videos on the other devices. That is similar to the way the Apple Watch tracks your fitness through the existing Activity App.
The difference is that the brand new app, codenamed Seymour, provides a wide variety of activities including indoor running, outdoor walking, yoga, dance, stretching, core training, weight training, cycling and rowing.
The website issued a caveat saying that while Apple appears to be working on the new fitness software for another software update, there is no guarantee that it would be available for the finalised versions of iOS 14, watchOS 7, and tvOS 14.
