Asics upcycles second-hand apparel to create new running shoes
Japanese sports brand Asics has launched a fresh line of jogging shoes created from recycled second-hand clothing.

The Sunrise Reborn Pack features two new shoes in red colorways and was manufactured using discarded clothing collected in Japan.

Using ground breaking technology, the business stated it can recycle, remake, and restyle discarded materials into different textile designs.

Asics used similar ways to create and craft a variety of upcycled outfits and footwear because of its Japanese staff during a global sporting event.

Yasuhito Hirota, president of Asics, stated in a news release, “We’re focused on playing our portion in building a circular market that assists reduce CO2 emissions and keep global warming at significantly less than 1.5oC.”

“Through sustainable products like Sunrise Reborn Pack, you want to let people all over the world benefit from the mental and physical great things about sport while preserving the earth for future generations to accomplish the same.”

The limited-edition range is part of Asics’ ongoing objective to help minimize its products’ environmental footprint worldwide.

By 2030, the brand mentioned it aims to have reduced its CO2 emissions by 55 percent while also increasing the use of renewable strength sources to at the least 60 percent across its business bases. By 2050, it intends to possess achieved net-zero CO2 emissions.
