Barca 'Choose' Next Manager, Koeman To Be Sacked
18 May, 2021
A stunning survey has suggested that Barcelona have previously chosen the man who'll replace Ronald Koeman within their dugout next season.
Although the Catalan club did well to enter a LaLiga title race considering how they started the season, everything came crashing down on Sunday when Koeman's men suffered a 2-1 defeat in the home to Celta Vigo.
With Barca having now lost to Celta Vigo and Granada, and drawn with Levante, in the league in recent weeks, it seems the Dutchman could very well be replaced ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
According to Sports, the Blaugrana are determined that Koeman won't continue in his spot, with Al-Sadd boss Xavi Hernandez reportedly getting lined up to succeed him.
The former Spain midfielder, who's widely considered among the best players in Barcelona's history, made 767 appearances for the club between 1998 to 2015.
Koeman confirmed on the weekend that he did, actually, talk with president Joan Laporta last week to go over a few squad things, although he admitted he could not reveal that which was said.
Xavi has reportedly arrived in Spain for a vacation, with many believing he'll hold talks with his ex-club above the potentially soon-to-get vacant managerial position.
While the former Netherlands boss could before long be on his way out of the Camp Nou, he did claim the 2020/21 Copa del Rey trophy with an impressive 4-0 win over Athletic Bilbao in the ultimate.
