Bayern Munich stretched their lead near the top of the Bundesliga table to ten points with a 2-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday evening.
The Bavarians made only 1 change from the medial side that edged Wolfsburg in a five-goal thriller, as Kingsley Coman replaced Leroy Sane in the line-up.
Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting gave the hosts a perfect focus on the opener in the seventh minute after firing home a deflected volley after Thomas Muller's initial volley was saved by shot-stopper Lukas Hradecky.
Joshua Kimmich doubled the lead for Bayern in the 13th minute with a blasting strike across Hradecky after Daley Sinkgraven put him through with an unhealthy touch trying to clear a cross.
Hradecky kept Leverkusen in the game with crucial saves and with ten minutes left of the first stanza, he parried Kimmich's thunderbolt in to the path of Choupo-Moting at the trunk post however the Cameroonian's shot missed just wide.
Bayern kept on putting the visitors under great pressure from the break but they were not creating clear chances and Hans-Dieter Flick made a triple change in the 64th minute, as Tanguy Kouassi, Sane and Leon Goretzka replaced Jerome Boateng, Coman and Muller.
Choupo-Moting thought he previously managed to get 3-0 for the Bavarians two minutes later after racing clear on goal from Kimmich through ball outrageous and fired a strike past Hradecky at the near post, however the goal was disallowed for offside.
Karim Bellarabi had an excellent chance to pull a goal back for Hannes Wolf's charges in the last 20 minutes after a cross by Leon Bailey on the byline but his strike came off the crossbar.
Leverkusen were increasing their intensity as Nadiem Amiri also came near pulling a goal back the last quarter of one hour with strike from the edge of the box that was kept out Manuel Neuer, who denied Bellarabi from the resultant corner that was taken short.
In the end, both first-half goals were anough at hand the Bavarians victory to increase their lead near the top of the log to ten points while Leverkusen stay in sixth place.
