Bayern Munich booked their location in the quarter-finals afte a 2-1 win in the last 16 second-leg at Allianz Arena.

After a 4-1 win in the first leg, Bayern manufactured three changes from their make an impression on Werder Bremen, as goalkeeper Alexander Nubel was presented with a work alongside recalls for David Alaba and Leroy Sane.

Chelsea advanced to the quarter-finals after a 2-0 win  over ten-man Atletico Madrid in Stamford Bridge.

The Blues made five improvements from the draw with Leeds United, two enforced as Jorginho and Mason Mount were suspended, Mateo Kovacic and Timo Werner were earned as replacements while Kurt Zouma, Reece James and Marcos Alonso were also recalled.

The overall game was tight in the first stages, although Atletico had a penalty shout in the 27th minute after Cesar Azpilicueta pulled Yannick Carrasco inside box within an off the ball incident but the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) stood with the on-field decision of no penalty after review.
