China reports seven new COVID-19 cases

China reported seven new COVID-19 instances on Dec 16, straight down from 12 cases a day earlier, the country's national well being authority said on Thursday (Dec 17).
The National Overall health Commission, in a statement, said each of the new cases were imported infections from overseas. The quantity of new asymptomatic instances, which China will not classify as verified conditions, fell to six from nine a day time earlier.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in mainland China now stands at 86,777, while the death toll remains unchanged at 4,634.
