Coronavirus: Shanghai Disneyland Holiday resort to partially resume operations
09 March, 2020
Shanghai Disneyland Vacation resort has announced that it will partially resume businesses on Monday, March 9. The park and holiday resort have been shut since Saturday, January 25, to prevent the propagate of the coronavirus in the country.
As the initial step towards a phased reopening, the resort will see a “limited number of looking, dining and recreational activities available in Disneytown, Wishing Celebrity Park and within the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel”. However, these resort spots will operate under limited capacity and reduced hours of procedure, Shanghai Disneyland explained in a declaration on its web-site. The Disney Car and Coach Park and the Disneytown Car parking Lot will also reopen.
To make the phased relaunch as safe as possible, several procedures are being taken up to limit the distributed of the virus. All friends getting into the Shanghai Disney Resort will need to undergo heat screening procedures upon arrival, present Overall health QR Code while getting into dining venues and be required to dress in a mask during their entire visits. Guests are also being reminded to “maintain a good social distance” while in stores, queues and restaurants.
Meanwhile, the key theme park will stay closed just as officials continue steadily to "monitor health insurance and safety conditions and follow the path of federal government regulators". Tokyo Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland have also been temporarily closed because of the outbreak.
