Dubai Chamber teams up with TikTok to help 1,000 businesses broaden digital reach
Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has joined forces with TikTok to teach start-ups and small and medium enterprises how to utilize the short-form video application to grow business.

Beneath the agreement, the organisations will create an academy that may run a four-week training programme for another two years. They'll turn to train 1,000 enterprises and help them “validate and grow their businesses using the content creation platform”.

“This initiative offers businesses a lot more than just a training programme. In addition, it gives participants the opportunity to learn about best practices in digital business strategies, share knowledge, enhance their social media reach and catch the attention of clients,” Hamad Buamim, president and leader of Dubai Chamber, said in a statement on Monday.

Participating businesses will discover access to an online training portal that will offer digital marketing training and advise them upon ways to get started in TikTok. The coursewill also present tips about creating and optimising content and also developing marketing campaigns.

“The SME and start-up community will be the backbone of our economy,” Shant Oknayan, general manager of global business solutions for Middle East, Turkey, Africa and Pakistan at TikTok, said.

“Knowing that, we happen to be thrilled to partner with Dubai Chamber to launch a specially curated four-week educational programme which will not only empower them to express themselves creatively but also to meaningfully engage their audience like never before,” Mr Oknayan added.

The programme may also include mentorship, knowledge sharing sessions with industry professionals and an opportunity to win prizes for the best TikTok video and the very best campaign.
