Mac Cosmetics has a history of high-profile collaborations. In the past, the company has released collections with the likes of Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Lebanese actress Cyrine Abdelnour.

And now the brand has announced it is teaming up with another Arab star, releasing a collection in collaboration with Egyptian actress Yasmine Sabri.

Sabri has created the line, which will be exclusively available in the Middle East, alongside her Saudi Arabian make-up artist Nora Bo Awadh.

The capsule collection is made up of Mac products loved by both women, and features the likes of the brand’s classic Russian Red Lipstick, the Prep + Prime Fix spray, and its Soft and Gentle highlighter.

Other products in the collection include the Shady Santa eyeshadow and two shades of the Patent Lip Paint Lacquer. All products in the limited-edition collection come with special Mac X Yasmine Sabri packaging.

“I have been using Mac since I first started wearing make-up, so it is an incredible honour for me to be asked to collaborate with the world’s leading make-up authority,” Sabri said.

“I’m also thrilled to work with a true visionary, the make-up artist Nora Bo Awadh. I trust her artistry implicitly. Whenever she suggests a new look for me, she is always ahead of the trends. At the heart of our collection, we wanted women to be bold. We wanted to celebrate their beauty, inspire confidence and self belief for women to live their dreams by being anything they want to be.”

Sabri has also recently been named as the first Middle Eastern woman to star in a Cartier campaign.

Her role as an ambassador for the brand was unveiled earlier this month via a new campaign film entitled Into The Wild, which stars Sabri alongside fellow ambassadors British actors Ella Balinska and Annabelle Wallis, and Italian model Mariacarla Boscono. In another version, Taiwanese actor Chang Chen is also included.
