Fernandes Confirms Plans For Man Utd Penalty Duties
Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has revealed who decides on the penalty-taking duties following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

There has been a lot of debate surrounding the penalty duties at Old Trafford after Fernandes failed to convert his spot-kick in the loss to Aston Villa last weekend.

Ronaldo is the preferred taker for the Portugal national team, but Fernandes has since revealed that manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer decides who takes penalties before each match.

"I was on penalties tonight but we didn't get one," he told CBS Sports after United's UEFA Champions League tie against Villarreal on Wednesday.

"The manager will decide before the game who takes it."

The Portuguese midfielder, who was captain on Wednesday, also praised Ronaldo and David de Gea after the 2-1 victory over the Yellow Submarine.

"I always thought we could win, even after they scored," he told BT Sport.

"I felt we could always come back into the game and turn it around. After the goal of Alex [Telles], everyone feels the atmosphere, it was unbelievable. The push from the fans was incredible.

"Some big saves from David who helps a lot to keep us in the game. After that at the end Cristiano, strikers always have the feeling to score, and he had it once again."
