France sees 'risk of apartheid' found in Israel

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on Sunday said there is a risk of "long-lasting apartheid" found in Israel if the Palestinians were denied their personal state.
Mr Le Drian is probably the 1st senior French officials to use the term "apartheid" in mention of Israel, which includes angrily denied any insurance policy of racial discrimination.
He made the remarks to RTL radio and Le Figaro newspaper found in reference to the clashes somewhere between Jews and Arabs that erupted in a number of Israeli cities through the latest conflict.
The violence, which demonstrated simmering anger among Israeli Arabs over the crackdown on Palestinians in Jerusalem, shattered years of tranquil coexistence in Israel.
"It's the first time and it clearly shows that if later on we had a remedy apart from the two-state solution, we would have the materials of long-lasting apartheid," Mr Le Drian said.
He said the "threat of apartheid is high" if Israel continued to act "according to a good single-state logic".
"Even the status quo makes that," Mr Le Drian said.
He said the 11-working day conflict between Hamas and Israel showed the necessity to revive the center East peace process.
"We've take one step at the same time," Mr Le Drian explained, expressing satisfaction that US President Joe Biden possessed affirmed support for a Palestinian state alongside Israel.
Israel's latest offensive against Hamas killed 248 persons in the Gaza Strip, including 66 kids, and wounded more than 1,900, the Hamas-run Health Ministry said.
Meanwhile, rockets fired simply by Palestinian militias into Israel killed 12 and wounded about 357, Israeli law enforcement said.
