France travel guide: all you need to find out as the country reopens

France is reopening to vaccinated vacationers. The European region is ready to welcome tourists and has applied a traffic light travel classification system.

From Wednesday, you will have no constraints on vaccinated travellers arriving in France from a green region. Those via orange destinations won't have to quarantine and can travel for leisure requirements again.

Travellers via destinations on France's red list remain heavily restricted and cannot yet check out France for a holiday.

France's traffic light program divides countries into 3 tiers with different rules for vaccinated and non-vaccinated travellers found in each of these categories.

France is allowing travellers to go to from green countries if they are fully vaccinated without the additional assessment requirements. Non-vaccinated tourists from green places can travel to France for tourism reasons, but will have to complete a Covid-19 PCR or quick antigen test only 72 or 48 time, respectively, before their departure.

From orange countries, vaccinated travellers also have to show evidence of a poor test result. Non-vaccinated travellers cannot happen to be France for leisure reasons; they must have an important reason to go to and will face seven days home quarantine, plus assessment requirements.

Travellers from red countries - including India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka - are still largely restricted. Totally vaccinated passengers from crimson destinations need an essential reason to visit, must definitely provide proof of a poor Covid-19 test, undergo on-arrival health checks and self-isolate for a week. Non-vaccinated travellers from reddish colored countries encounter the same guidelines with 10 days of quarantine.

Kids under 11 years out of date from any destination aren't necessary to take Covid-19 tests or prove vaccination position.
