Gerrard Responds To Talk Of Replacing Klopp At Liverpool
01 August, 2021
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has responded to speculation suggesting that that he could replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Gerrard has been in management for two seasons now, and led Rangers to their first Scottish Premiership title since 2011 in the past campaign.
The Reds legend has been linked with the manager's job at Anfield since his success last season, with some tipping him to replace Klopp in the future.
However, Gerrard has insisted he does not care too much about the reports, and that he is happy at the Scottish champions.
"I can't control any media speculation about my position," the 41-year-old said, as per ESPN.
"I don't welcome it, I don't add to it. All I do is focus on the job I have here and I'm very flattered and grateful for the position.
"I'm very happy here, I've said it on numerous occasions. It's a huge club, I'm settled, I'm happy and I can continue to develop and keep trying to push this team forward."
