GS Group Chairman to Pass Baton to Younger Brother
GS Group chairman Huh Chang-soo will retire and pass the reins to his youngest brother, Huh Tae-soo, at the beginning of next year.

The outgoing chairman on Tuesday said he has fulfilled his duty by establishing a stable foundation for GS to become a global company over the last 15 years. The Huh family had partnered with the Koo family of LG Group to run LG for more than 60 years before splitting off and founding GS in 2004.

He emphasized that now is a critical time to adjust to the rapidly changing business landscape with new leaders.

GS said incoming chairman Huh Tae-soo has been recognized as a next-generation leader thanks to his success at the helm of GS Home Shopping.
