Hazard 'Makes Decision' On Joining Messi & Inter Miami
27 July, 2023
With Inter Miami signing up some legendary footballers lately, most notably Lionel Messi, the American side is believed to have also offered Eden Hazard a deal, and the attacker has reportedly already given them a definitive answer.
The 32-year-old winger recently put a disastrous spell at Real Madrid behind him after the club mutually terminated their record signing's contract in June.
The ex-Belgium international is now a free agent, meaning he is free to sign with whomever he pleases, and as he continues to decide what the next move of his career will be, it is said that a move to Major League Soccer is not in his plans. According to Belgian publication Voetbalkrant, the David Beckham-co-owned side offered Hazard a contract to play in Miami, but the diminutive attacker rejected it.
The MLS franchise is also believed to be the only team that has offered Hazard a contract so far as they look to add to the big-name signings of Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
The former Lille and Chelsea forward has been plagued by injuries ever since he made the move to the Spanish capital in 2019, and as a result, has struggled to regain the form that made him Los Blancos' record arrival.
As such, the former Belgium captain has seen his stock drop drastically in the European game and a potential retirement has been floated in the media.
