Hilary Swank to star as detective

Oscar winner Hilary Swank ('Million Dollar Baby', 'Boys Don't Cry') will star in the upcoming noir thriller 'Fatale', directed by Deon Taylor ('Meet the Blacks', 'Traffik').
'Fatale' centers on a married man who is tricked into a murder scheme by a seductive female police detective played by Swank. The actress recently starred in the FX television drama series 'Trust' opposite Donald Sutherland and just wrapped production on the sci-fi thriller 'I Am Mother'.
She can next be seen in the drama 'What They Had', starring alongside Michael Shannon, Blythe Danner, and Josh Lucas and debuting in October.
Taylor is directing as well as producing alongside his Hidden Empire Film Group partners Roxanne Avent and Robert F Smith. The screenplay was written by David Loughery ('Lakeview Terrace', 'Obsessed'). Dante Spinotti will reteam with Taylor as the director of photography for the feature.
Production on 'Fatale' will begin next month in Los Angeles. Avent will oversee the project for Hidden Empire Film, who is fully financing the film.
