How Barca Could Line Up With New Signings
With Barcelona having registered three new players in January and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang already in training with the Spanish giants, here is how the Catalan giants could line up going forward.

While he might not feature in every game under his former teammate, the Brazilian has returned to play and pass down knowledge to his younger colleagues during a difficult period for the struggling club.

Despite his age, Alves is likely to have a key role at Barcelona for the rest of the season as he aims to be named in the Brazil's 2022 FIFA World Cup squad later this year.

Positionally, and depending on which formation Xavi decides to pick, the 38-year-old could be set to play in his usual right-back role or in a wing-back position should his manager prefer to start with a three-man defence.

Spain international Ferran Torres, who was lured to Barca from Manchester City in a deal worth €55 million (R945 million), could feature ahead of Alves on the right side of attack, while new loan signing Adama Traore might suit playing on the opposite flank. Like Alves, Traore returned to Barcelona after plying his trade outside of Spain for a few years, and will be eager to impress and cement a place in Xavi's strongest XI.

Aubameyang has officially been announced as a Blaugrana player, with the African superstar is likely to be used as the team's central striker, with reports suggesting that his new boss rates him highly as a lethal goalscorer.

The 32-year-old is said to have taken a huge pay cut to join the club, with Arsenal confirming his departure on Tuesday night ahead of his unveiling in Spain's top flight.
