Hyundai Releases High-Performance Avante N
16 July, 2021
Hyundai released a new model of the Avante sedan under its high-performance N brand on Wednesday.
Designed as an everyday sports car, the Avante N is equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine that delivers up to 280 horsepower. It can reach 100 km/h from a complete stop in just 5.3 seconds.
To simulate the experience of driving a sports car, Hyundai has even added exhaust sounds. The car leaps to a quick start and emits a loud engine sound when accelerating, and makes "popping" sounds when the accelerator is eased.
The model is the first under the N brand with high-performance Michelin tires for improved driving and braking. It has sports seats exclusive to the N brand, allowing the driver and passengers to remain in a stable position when going around corners.
The sedan costs from W32.12 million to W33.99 million (US$1=W1,150).
Hyundai on Wednesday also launched the Kona N small SUV following its unveiling in April. It retails for W34.18 million.
Hyundai now offers four N brand models, the other two being the i30 N and Veloster N.
