In an interview with ETimes, the actress spilled the beans on her behalf changeover from South films to mainstream Hindi cinema, among other things.
Q: Reveal about your voyage from the South film market to Bollywood
Meera: Switching to Bollywood was a good conscious decision. I would state that South was a great learning ground but I felt I need to grow as an actor. It will always be comfortable to accomplish films in the words you are familiar with. For me personally, the terminology was a large barrier there. I could never get yourself a hang of it. Bollywood was something I wanted to explore. I was quite finished with the South.
Q: Have you been a movie buff?
Meera: I was a major Bollywood movie buff! I was in love with Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit. I think they made an enormous impact on me during my growing-up years. I would view every Sridevi motion picture and make an effort to copy her. Aside from them, I was a huge admirer of Anil Kapoor as well. When 'Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja' unveiled, I took a camcorder with me to the theatres to have photographs of Anil Kapoor as there have been no camera cell phones.
Q: Reveal about enough time when you decided you wished to do this for the others of your life.
Meera: Acting was not a thing that I wanted to accomplish. It never occurred if you ask me that I would someday make acting into my job. I had just finished my 12th standard and was likely to go abroad for further studies. I did part-time modeling in Delhi and got an offer to accomplish a film in the South. I was barely 17 years old after that. It was a major Tamil film with Surya and AR Rahman's music. I visited Chennai to shoot; it was a 40-day routine. My first scene came out brilliantly. It was my first time before the surveillance camera. That was the time when I realised that this gives me happiness. I didn't know after that it if I wanted to perform this for the others of my entire life but I wanted to provide it a make an effort and then find out if I want to make a career of it.
