Indonesia's Mount Sinabung volcano sent a good cloud of scorching ash as high due to 5km on Tuesday (Mar 2), found in its 1st big eruption since August this past year.

Mount Sinabung's activity has increased since August last year and the alert for the volcano found in North Sumatra province has been located at the second-highest level.

Zero casualties were reported, but the official had previous urged people to stay at least 3 km from the crater, Indonesia's Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation Center said.

Videos on social mass media showed little panic among residents above the eruption, which sent a good column of white colored ash in to the blue sky.

Wirda Br Sitepu, a 20-year-out of date resident, told Reuters that the problem had calmed and said "the mountain is not erupting, and the ash has decreased".

Indonesia has almost 130 active volcanoes, more than any other country.
