Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami Leave South Africa's Middle Order In Tatters At Newlands
Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami bowled with venom on Day 4 in Cape Town to rip apart the South African middle order.
The hosts resumed on 65/2 and then the collapse began. From 66/2 they limped to 96/7.
Shami snared Hashim Amla, Kagiso Rabada and Vernon Philander while Jasprit Bumrah accounted for Faf du Plessis and Quinton de Kock.
South Africa already have a lead of 77 runs after India managed 209 in reply to their 286. On that occasion it was Hardik Pandya who made 93 to rescue India from 76/5.
The third day was washed out due to rain. Virat Kohli's men are looking for their first Test series win in South Africa. Their best performance is a 1-1 draw under MS Dhoni.
South Africa eventually folded for 130, setting India 208 runs to win.
