Leicester City Pull Six Points Clear Of Man City

Leicester City moved to second spot in the Premier League with a 4-1 thumping of Aston Villa at Villa Park.

The Foxes raced into a two-goal lead thanks to strikes from Jamie Vardy and Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho.

Villa pulled a goal back through captain Jack Grielish, but Jonnny Evans and another Vardy strike completed the rout for the visitors.

Newcastle United 2-1 Southampton

Newcastle United registered a second straight league win after defeating a rejuvinated Southampton side.

Danny Ings gave the visitors the lead after 52 minutes, before Jonjo Shelvey and Fernandez hit back for the Magpies.

Norwich City 1-2 Sheffield United

Sheffield United got back to winning ways after defeating Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon.

Alexander Tetley put home side in front after 27 minutes, but Enda Steven restored parity for the Blades just before the break.

The winning goal arrived seven minutes after the break, courtesy of George Baldock’s second league goal of the season.

Brighton and Hove Albion 2-2 Wolverhamtpon Wanderers

Brighton and Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers settled for a share of the spoils at the AMEX Stadium.

Neil Maupay and Davy Propper put the hosts 2-1 up after Diogo Jota opened the scoring for Wolves in the 28th minute.

Jota managed to level matters up on the stroke of halftime with his second goal of the match.
