LG's New 5G Smartphone to Hit Market This Month
01 April, 2019
LG will launch its first smartphone designed to run on a 5G network in Korea this month.
The V50 ThinQ will go on sale on April 19 with a price tag of W1.19 million, the electronics maker said Sunday (US$1=W1,137).
"We set the price as low as possible to encourage users to switch to a 5G smartphone," LG said.
The phone is equipped with a 6.4-inch display and five cameras -- two on the front and three on the rear. It also boasts 128 GB of memory with a battery capacity of 4,000 mAh.
Customers who buy the phone by the end of May will receive an attachable dual-screen worth W219,000 for free. The 6.2-inch second screen allows users to watch movies on one screen and surf the Internet or play a game on the other.
