Major European Club Pulls Out Of Messi Race
Because the news broke that Lionel Messi really wants to leave FC Barcelona, most major clubs across Europe could have considered entering the race to sign him, but one team has confirmed they aren't interested.

Newly crowned European champions Bayern Munich are arguably at the peak of their powers at this time, but they will never be in a bidding war for just one of the world's greatest-ever players.

The Bavarians' CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge addressed the problem, according to Tuttosport, and explained why a move for the Argentine star wouldn't normally be possible for the Bundesliga giants.

When asked if indeed they could potentially sign Messi, he said, "No, we can't pay a player of this size. It is not part of our policy and philosophy."

The Bayern legend also offered his applying for grants the saga all together, adding: "Honestly, hearing that Messi could leave Barcelona makes me just a little sad. Leo has written the annals of this club and, in my opinion, he should end his career with the Blaugrana.

"There are internal and private aspects there that I have no idea about and that is why I will not interfere."

There are still several clubs said to be in the running, though, with Manchester City regarded as frontrunners. Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan are others that have been credited with an intention in the player.
