Malaysia on Sunday (Feb 7) eased COVID-19 restrictions for Chinese New Year reunion evening meal, just times after announcing the original curbs.

Up to 15 family from numerous households will today be permitted to dine together for his or her reunion meal, provided they live within 10km of each different, said the National Unity Ministry.

"Family reunion dinners are allowed at their residences only among members of the family from the same home," he explained at a press briefing.

Ismail Sabri also previously said that temple prayers would be limited to five members from the temple’s supervision committee.
