Malaysia studies 16 new COVID-19 instances, including 3 imported infections
Malaysia reported 16 new COVID-19 circumstances on Sunday (Jun 21), acquiring the national total to 8,572. 

Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there have been no new fatalities, with the death toll remaining at 121. 

Of the 16 new cases, three were imported infections while 13 were locally transmitted. 

The imported conditions comprise two Malaysians and one everlasting resident. 

Of the 13 locally transmitted cases, nine were non-Malaysians while the staying four were Malaysians, Dr Noor Hisham said. 

Regarding the 9 non-Malaysian patients, six had been coming from the Pedas cluster in point out of Negeri Sembilan even though two were close contacts of a court case from a cleaning services company cluster in Selangor.

The remaining case was an individual from the Tawau Temporary Detention Centre in Sabah who was simply screened before being repaid to Indonesia. 

Dr Noor Hisham said several of the locally transmitted conditions involving Malaysians were close contacts of a good circumstance from the Kidurong cluster in Sarawak. 

Another case was found throughout a pre-surgery screening at a medical center on Johor while another was a detainee who was simply recently sent to a lock-up on Melaka. 

Dr Noor Hisham added 10 people had recovered and were discharged on Sunday, taking the full total number of recovered situations in Malaysia to 8,156. 

"Currently, three COVID-19 cases are being treated found in the intensive care product, but none may need ventilator support," he said.
