Result: Paris Saint-Germain 5-0 Metz

Venue: Parc des Princes
There was some great news before the game got underway as it was announced that Mbappe has signed a new three-year deal with the champions, snubbing reported interest from Real Madrid.
On the field though, it was Metz who looked livelier in the early stages of the encounter as Didier Lamkel Ze did well to pick out Farid Boulaya, who saw his effort turned away by Keylor Navas. PSG carved out their first opening in the 23rd minute when Angel di Maria combined with Marco Verratti before forcing Metz goalkeeper Marc-Aurele Caillard into a fine save.
The breakthrough arrived for PSG on 25 minutes as the man of the moment Mbappe latched onto a pass by Di Maria before rounding Caillard to slot into an empty net.
Mbappe bagged his and PSG's second three minutes later after squeezing the ball past Caillard after being played in by Lionel Messi.
PSG's front trio were putting on a show as Neymar got in on the act in the 31 minutes with a simple finish from close range after Messi was denied by Boubakar Kouyate for his 100th goal for the club.
The hosts carried that momentum into the second half, with Mbappe completing his hat-trick five minutes after the break with another a simple finish.
It got worse for Metz just before the hour mark as Boubacar Traore was given his marching orders after picking up his second yellow card on the night.
Di Maria got his name on the scoresheet in the 67th minute in his final game for the club wafter skipping past one challenge before sending a neat finish into the bottom corner.
That proved to be Di Maria's final involvement as he was substituted and given a special gaurd of honour by his teammates as he left the field.
