Mbappe's Real Madrid Salary Offer 'Revealed'
08 July, 2023
Real Madrid are said to have already drawn up a contract for Kylian Mbappe, with the massive salary he could earn with Los Blancos having reportedly been revealed.
According to Cadena SER, the LaLiga juggernauts have already put together the Bondy native's deal.
As per the Spanish publication, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner will sign a five-year contract at the Santiago Bernabeu, and earn €50 million (R1 billion) a year, while a €1 billion (R20.8 billion) release clause will also be inserted into the deal.
While the record European champions have already created the contract they think will satisfy the pacey attacker, signing Mbappe in this window is not what the club had planned. It is said the Spanish giants were anticipating completing a move for the superstar marksman at the end of next season, when he will be a free agent. Club president Florentino Perez and his fellow executives were believed to hoping to agree a pre-contract with the 24-year-old in January 2024, a move that would save the club close to €200 million (R4.1 billion).
Signing the Frenchman now would create complications for Real's economics because completing a transfer for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot winner in this window would reportedly mean they would have to spend €300 million (R6.2 billion) when you combine his salary, transfer fee and bonuses.
The same report claims that 26 July will be a decisive day in the Mbappe transfer saga as that is the day PSG begin their pre-season tour of Asia, and it is then when the public will likely have an answer regarding the France captain's club future.
