Messi Already Negotiating Next Transfer?
24 August, 2021
Just a few weeks after he was signed by Paris Saint-Germain, Lionel Messi has reportedly already held talks over his next potential transfer.
According to the Daily Mirror, the 34-year-old's possible future move to MLS franchise Inter Miami is still on. Only this time, he could join the club from PSG and not Barcelona.
The 2021 Copa America winner joined the French giants two weeks ago after departing the Catalan giants as a free agent due to the Spanish side not being able to afford a new contract for him.
Messi, however, is said to already be in discussions regarding his next potential move, with David Beckham having reportedly already been in contact with the six-time Ballon d'Or winner.
The part-owner of Inter Miami is said to have promised fans a superstar signing in the near future, and has identified Messi, as well as Cristiano Ronaldo, as somebody who could fulfil, and thrive in, that role.
It is claimed, though, that talks with Messi appear to be advanced, with the Argentine himself said to have bought property in Miami, Florida, already.
Beckham's partner Jorge Mas recently spoke about the possibility of Messi playing for Inter Miami one day.
"I am optimistic Messi will play in an Inter Miami shirt because I think it will complete the legacy of the greatest player in our generation and will meet with the ambitions of the owners of Inter Miami to build a world-class team," he said, according to Barca Universal.
