Messi Slams Barca For 'Crazy' Decision
29 December, 2020
In a recently available interview, six-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi slammed FC Barcelona for a "crazy" decision they produced some time ago.
The 33-year-old fell out with the Blaugrana board before the 2020/21 season got underway as he tried to push for an exit from the club after 16 years in the first team.
Ronald Koeman's arrival found in August led to a bunch of changes to the squad, with several senior players, such as for example Ivan Rakitic, Nelson Semedo, Arturo Vidal and Luis Suarez, being release.
Messi, who was unhappy with the way Suarez was forced out of your club at the time, seemingly still cannot quite believe what happened with the Uruguayan, calling Barcelona's way of handling the matter "crazy".
"What happened with Luis Suarez to Atleti (Atletico Madrid) was crazy!" he informed La Sexta TV.
"He left free of charge, paying the rest of the years of his deal, and he became a member of a team that struggle for the same goals as us. Unbelievable."
Suarez has scored seven goals found in 14 complements for Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid since his arrival at the Wanda Metropolitano in September.
