More drivers, a wider selection of services on the horizon for Gojek users in Singapore, says co-CEO
A larger pool of drivers and a wider selection of services are a number of the things Gojek users in Singapore can anticipate in the year ahead, said the firm’s co-CEO Kevin Aluwi.

In an email interview with CNA, he said the ride-hailing giant aims to produce a lasting impact in Singapore for years to come, and is making “strategic investments” to grow the business enterprise this year to make sure this.

For example, it'll be enhancing its support steps and incentives for drivers with the purpose of doubling their quantities this year, he said.

“We’ll also come to be launching new transport goods to bring more benefits to customers and motorists, including a convenient transportation platform for corporates, together with dedicated features to e book taxis and large cars,” said the Gojek co-founder, who all shares the positioning of CEO with the firm's former president Andre Soelistyo.

He added that Gojek - whose Singapore functions began with the beginning of a data research office within 2017 - may also continue to expand its tech skill pool in the united states, especially found in cybersecurity and data analytics, to market the development of its regional organization.

The Indonesian firm is also exploring the potential launch of new products for Singapore that will “make sense available in the market”, said Mr Aluwi.

“This may take the sort of Gojek-owned services, or product launches through partnerships with top rated service providers in the united states,” he stated, without providing additional information.

“I’m very worked up about our ideas for Singapore. It’s been an important and strategic industry for all of us - and one where ride-hailing has viewed promising restoration amidst the country’s gradual reopening,” he said.

Reported to come to be valued at about US$10 billion, Gojek entered the Singapore market in late 2018 within a US$50 million regional expansion plan, pursuing Uber’s exit from the spot.
