NCA Design changing it up, going back to roots this spring
NCA Design, a design-centric furniture manufacturer, is returning to its classic Italian roots for the April High Point Market.

“We’re changing it up by going back to our company’s roots: sleek Italian, 100% leather, very streamlined and modern upholstery and bedroom furniture for this market,” said Penny Scapetti, creative director of NCA Design. For the October market, the company will also be including occasional and dining collections from Italy.

This market, the company is showing three upholstery frames that can be delivered in 12 weeks to dealers.  Scapetti said it wanted to ensure delivery and limited new sofa introductions for this reason. A family business started by her husband, Nick Scapetti, president, NCA Design didn’t normally show at Premarket but is now doing so at the request of its major customers. The company sells products in more than 10 countries worldwide.

The company sources its leathers in Italy from a concern it has been working with for many years.  Like many other manufacturers, NCA is working with a variety of suppliers to manage the supply chain. “We’re also developing an exciting rug program in Turkey,” said Scapetti.

“Retailers who buy from us will do galleries in their showrooms; they like our personable vibe,” said Scapetti, adding, “We make a personal connection with our customers and are very supportive of our bricks-and-mortar clients.”
